Your Bio

An avid photographer for over 40 years, I'm still working to perfect my art. The photos collected here aren't necessarily my "best," but simply some of my favorites. Many are scans of medium format and/or 35mm photography; others are digital.

Last year I finally fulfilled a goal of mine: I started a camera club: Photographic Society of East Tennessee. We have around 50 members and we have field trips, training, competitions, thematic assignments and lots of fun. Check us out at: http://www.pset.org.

This photo of me was taken by my daughter Dana as we hiked to Mt. LeConte in the Great Smoky Mountains in October, 2007 to celebrate my turning 60 in September. One of the RARE times I let myself be shot!

My vocation is Principal for a small private school for at-risk kids. I teach photography at the Rose Center in Morristown, TN., where I also serve on its Board.

So, if you have time, peruse my stuff, comment if you like...I'm thick skinned! And, since I am quick to offer critiques of my students' work, I must submit to same myself.

Most of the images I uploaded are not "large" enough for printing because I'm not trying to sell anything....yet!
